What a difference a year makes

feetmapThis was my view from the bed on the boat for over a year – it seems incredible that I can see it on the page and I am currently in another country writing this, doing what I have dreamed of and experiencing life in ways that I had thought were beyond me.

I have always been much better at thinking and dreaming rather than doing – hence the title.

Dreaming is so much ‘safer’ and more managable but does not scratch the itch or give the vibrant multi-sensory taste, smell and sound of the active life which feels more on the edge of where I was previously and is what I have dreamed of and desired for so long.

This active life is not going to be easy but each step or pedal achieved already feels satifying, whether physically or emotionally won and tells me I am moving along in many ways.  I hope I continue to enjoy this in all ways …. only time will tell.

  1. Hi Rae,

In april 2015 you stayed a little while on my Teahouse-terrass in Dreumel/The Netherlands. Now already for a long time I can’t see any new posts, therefore I wonder how you’re doing. I hope everything is going well. If possible I hope to hear from you.
    All the best,
    Suzanne/Theehuis Bij de Buren, Dreumel
